Meet the Team

  • I am a nationally certified speech-language pathologist who holds a Bachelor of Science (2007) and Master of Science (2009) in Speech Pathology from West Virginia University. Throughout my career, I have worked within the public schools and private practice, accumulating extensive expertise in various areas such as pediatric and adult stuttering, expressive and receptive language, language delays, articulation/phonology, autism, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and childhood apraxia of speech.

What sets me apart from other clinicians is my personal experience as a person who stutters. I understand firsthand the impact of attending speech therapy and how communication differences affect individuals and loved ones. This unique perspective significantly and positively influences my clinical decision-making and enhances my ability to connect with clients and their families.

I actively participate within the stuttering self-help community including the National Stuttering Association and FRIENDS: The National Association of Young People Who Stutter. I have led numerous seminars for people who stutter, families, teachers, graduate students, and speech-language pathologists. My passion for the field of speech pathology extends to guest lecturing at multiple graduate programs for speech pathology students over the years. Additionally, I have published numerous articles on measuring and changing public attitudes towards stuttering.
